Dauphin: extra carved antique bow rocking horse
Circa 1870, 50"
A truly stunning and highly collectable horse.
Remarkably complete original paint was discovered while re-restoring Dauphin. This has been revealed and repaired.
His price is very reasonable for a horse of this rarity and quality with estimated value of $16,000.
$13,500
Heathcliff: SOLD
A particularly elegant example of a D Type Ayres, although the inaccurate saddle distracts from the well-observed anatomy.
Heathcliff can be enjoyed as he is but would benefit from an authentic re-restoration.
